About Us
- our branch is one of fun, learning and friendship with like minded people
- we are a very relaxed, friendly and caring group of skilled and amateur embroiderers catering for all levels
- we pride ourselves on how we generously share our knowledge with each other
- the importance of caring and ‘catch ups’ is very evident at our gatherings
- members are welcoming, encouraging and supportive
- at workshops and guidance days, we enjoy exploring new techniques and endeavour to utilise the expertise of visiting tutors and our members
- our comprehensive library contains a wealth of resources

- General – second Tuesday of Feb (AGM), May, Aug & Nov at 7.00 pm
- Committee – last Thursday of month at 3.00 pm
- Sit & Sews
- Warrnambool
- Day – members’ homes, first & third Thursday, noon to 4.00 pm
- Night – members’ homes, first & third Wednesday, 7.30 to 10.00 pm
- Hamilton
- Day – members’ arrangements, second & fourth Wednesday, 10.00 am to 2.30 pm
- Portland
- Day – Julia Street Art Centre, first & third Tuesday, 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
- Warrnambool
- Guidance Days – Warrnambool West Primary School, last Thursday, 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
- Stall Sewing Days – Warrnambool West Primary School, fourth Thursday (whenever the month has 5 Thursdays)
- Exhibition – Biennial and usually held in February / March of each odd year
- Workshops – arrangements occur for specialised tutors to come to our branch and provide classes
Membership
- if you are interested in sewing, you will be warmly welcomed when you contact us
- once joining our branch as a paid member (around $90 per year), you automatically become a member of Embroidery Guild Victoria
