SD3 OR NUE

Or Nue is a beautiful goldwork technique where a scene or image is created by couching coloured embroidery threads over laid metal threads. Subtle shading effects can be created by varying the placement and density of couching stitches. From a choice of traditional and contemporary designs including florals, a ladybird or paisley create a contemporary piece worked in a circular fashion with a single strand of metal thread, then a traditional piece over horizontally laid pairs of metal threads. Design areas are 5cm square. Pieces can be finished in a variety of ways, including framing, used for a box top, or turned into a circular brooch.

Please Note:

• A full refund will apply if the refund request is made prior to the class registration closing date.
• Once the class registration has closed and/or Tutor advised the class is proceeding - a refund will only be given for exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Education Committee.
• No refunds will be given once the class has commenced.
