TC60 - Balthazar Christmas Beetle

Balthazar Christmas Beetle is a delightful fantasy beetle brooch that can double as a magical Christmas decoration. You will be learning goldwork techniques such chipping, laying cord, beading, leather work and wire work. Using lovely silk threads, beautiful gold wires, metallic cords and threads, as well as metallic organza,  will also learn how to successfully wrap and sink wire elements, as well as how to create this sturdy, completely detached embroidered item.

These techniques can used for other goldwork and raised embroidery projects,  and when complete, will be a piece of wearable art measuring 5 x 6cm.
Balthazar can also be suspended in a lovely clear Christmas ball to hang on your tree                                                                .

Skill Level: Intermediate(or previous Goldwork experience - or anyone keen
enough to start learning goldwork)

• A full refund will apply if the refund request is made prior to the class registration closing date.
