This course will cover the fundamentals of Couture Beading & Embellishment. Silk organza is framed up on a small slate frame, then a tambour hook is used to create the chain stitch. We will explore the ‘Luneville Technique’ with flat and cup sequins, bugle beads & 2 cut satin finish beads. We will also work with other specialist French materials used in Haute Couture such as cabochons, leaves, floral sequins, crystals & chenille. We will also learn the Aari technique, 3d beadwork, turkey work, tambour embroidery using embroidery thread & metallic thread.
