EVENT Phillipa Turnbull – via Zoom - Tutoring Crewel Work at the EGV
PT20 Zoom Session - Basic Rules of Crewel Work Embroidery
REGISTRATION STILL AVAILABLE

Phillipa’s crewel work designs are based on original needlework she finds within the walls of British castles and historic buildings.
Phillipa has been producing beautiful crewel embroidery kits for over 25 years – enabling her passion for historical embroidery and for keeping the designs and techniques from the past alive and thriving.
Her range of British crewel work kits bring to life the designs, colours and techniques of the 17th to the 20th Centuries, while honouring the integrity of the original historic crewel work.
In Phillipa's view confidence is key, and by enjoying this information time and our upcoming guild classes together we will all gain new knowledge by sharing helpful hints and tips and the way we can enjoy the embroidery challenges ahead.
My workshops are relatively quiet as we all work quite hard and need to concentrate, but we will break for discussion at appropriate points, and, of course, I will attend to questions as we progress each course.
All the designs will be referenced when I lecture, and the why, when and where of use of colour, and the placement of stitches will become more apparent during each workshop.
