Jacobean Leaf: In this Beginners level project the three main stitches of traditional crewel work are covered in detail with variations in each stitch.
Students will work on the basic rules, and discuss the reasons for developing habits that will enable the next stage of expertise in this type of embroidery.
By the end of this course you will learn how to avoid mistakes, how to correct mistakes, and which mistakes can lead to creative joy.
With large areas of Laid and Couched Work, this design will work up quickly with various combinations in this technique as well as traditional crewel stitches.
