MT21 ELIZABETHAN FLORAL SCROLLS / FLORAL SCROLLS 

Elizabethan Floral Scrolls - This is a typical Elizabethan design featuring coiling stems of gold, enclosing flowers, insects and small creatures stitched in Gumnut Yarn “stars” silks on a linen background. This project allows students to build on their embroidery techniques and skills. The piece for this class is a stand alone piece and can be framed or mounted on the lid of a box.

Design size: The design measures 13.5cm x 15.5cm.

Floral Scrolls - This is a typical Elizabethan design featuring coiling stems of gold, enclosing flowers, insects and small creatures stitched in Gumnut Yarn “stars” silks on a linen background. This project uses a heavier thread DMC Coton a Broder 25 to teach students traditional techniques used in the Elizabethan period. The piece for this class is a stand alone piece and can be framed or mounted on the lid of a box or bowl.

Design size: The design measures 13cm x 13cm

Time: 9.00am for a 9.30am start - 4.00pm

Skill Level: Elizabethan Floral Scrolls - some experience with detached buttonhole required; Floral Scrolls - some embroidery experience (piece is worked in DMC Coton a Broder 25)
