CLASS - MTw22 FAB Jewellery

MTw22 - FAB Jewellery (Free-motion machine embroidery class) 

This is a fun class using freeform machining on various fabrics, mainly on water soluble films that will include the use of 3 different types, solvy, water soluble vilene and a thicker film that can be used to machine embroider without a hoop.

Learn how to incorporate luscious and hand printed fabrics, especially sparkling organza’s, with coloured and metallic machine threads to make bracelets, necklaces, brooches, earrings in your choice of colours. We will begin by working in a hoop from printed fabric or ribbon on to solubles, then dissolving, resulting in your unique creation.

Also included will be machine stitching over piping cord to making stringing for necklaces etc. To upcycle your old jewellery, you can bring along unused bracelets etc, metal necklaces from the Opshop and transform them into fabulous wearable while helping the environment.

Kits ($30) will be supplied including pieces of my hand dyed organza’s, plain organza’s, the 3 soluble products, lengths of piping cord, templates of flowers, leaves, butterflies and different shapes, ready to enjoy.
