ND45 - Making Waves 

During this 2 day class we will begin our journey creating Making Waves, A Drawstring Bag created By Ariane Zurcher Design. We will begin our applique background, and background embellishment as well as the stitching and embellishing of rocks 1 and 2. We will use a variety of threads, stitches and unique variations on those stitches, as well as creating some of your own embellishments using a variety of techniques. Next year we plan on offering further classes to work on remaining rocks.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate (not suitable for new stitchers)

Digital Pattern - available from arianezurcher.com USD19.99 - if unable to source the tutor has offered to assist. If printing is required, this can be arranged for an additional fee. 

Thread Packs - Please choose your selection from Option 1 or Option 2 - DO NOT CHOOSE BOTH OR YOU WILL OVERPAY

Option 1: Full hanks - $294.00 The Thread Gatherer Threads for the whole project (Option 1A) OR $222.00 for the threads used in this class (Option 1B), AND $100.00 for the House of Embroidery Threads for the whole project (Option 1C) OR $14.40 threads used in this class (Option 1D).

Option 2: Thread sharing - $75.00 for The Thread Gatherer Threads 1/3 hank; AND $25.00 for Silk Ribbon Pack (some full hank & some 1/3); AND $55.00 for The Thread Gatherer Threads Background Threads (this can wait until next year if preferred); AND $50.00 House of Embroidery Threads 1/2 hank for the whole project.

It is your choice how to purchase your threads for this project (or you may choose to source your own). House of Embroidery Threads are available here in Australia (colours may be limited. however). It is highly recommended you purchase The Thread Gatherer Threads as a kit as they are speciality threads. Nicole has calculated what you will need for the project and has offered thread sharing as a way to make this as economical as possible.

If you wish to purchase threads via the tutor they must be purchased at the time of registration, they cannot be added later. Ordering these threads from the USA requires a considerable outlay on the part of the tutor so will need to be purchased as a kit option at the time of registration. The  Background Threads (Option 2) and additional The Thread Gatherer Threads (Option 1) for the other 'rocks' may be purchased at the time of further classes.
