KG37 - The Perfect Pumpkin 

This is a two-day workshop. Beginners are welcome. A knowledge of basic embroidery stitches would be an advantage. The project cannot be completed during the allocated time, but you will have all the information you need to finish it.

This class is aimed at extending wool embroidery and surface stitchery skills whilst making a delightful, imaginative pumpkin. It will be a great extension for those who have done previous classes in wool embroidery and surface stitching.

Not only is there a pumpkin but also two beautiful flowers using different techniques for the petals and there’s nothing cuter than a caterpillar hiding out under a 3D leaf with a lady bug on top.

The background wool will have a cotton overlay attached before the pumpkin sections are added.

A selection of some of the surface embroidery  stitches used in the project will be taught. It is a very achievable project and would enhance a journal cover or a panel for a bag or even just framed.
