A reminder of sweet and sunny summer days having a picnic in the park, this fun project covers a range of stumpwork (raised embroidery) techniques. The luscious strawberries, one just ready for the picking, are stitched in needlelace over felt padding with a woven picot calyx. Detached petals create a pretty strawberry flower which is complemented with detached leaves. In luminous silks the design stitched is worked on silk dupion with a little bit of gold sparkle the final touch.
