KG7 - Chain Stitch Adventure 

There are many variations of the humble chain stitch. So far I have come up with at least 25 plus. We will be exploring the different ways of combining the base stitches with other stitches to form interesting effects. These can all be changed up by using different threads and different weights of threads.

In this class you may use whatever threads you have on hand, but, for the stitches to really stand out, threads with a firm twist are better than ordinary stranded embroidery thread.

The intended project is a small pouch. This can be any size you wish. Remember, the larger the size the more stitching you will need to achieve. You might decide to embroider on the front flap of the pouch only if making a large one. It is your choice.

I do not expect the stitching to be completed by the end of day 2, but you should be well on your way. Finishing techniques will be discussed in the second session.
