SS6 - Moth Magic 


In this workshop you will create a beautiful 3D moth using a combination of machine and hand embroidery techniques. You will play with a variety of fabrics and embellishments to create your own gorgeous moth. Templates will be provided for a standard sized decorative moth and a smaller one that can be made into a brooch. Familiarity with basic free machine embroidery is desirable. An introduction to free machine embroidery can be provided for those new to the technique. SS5&6moth2

Skill Level: All Levels (this workshop requires a competent understanding of your sewing machine)

SS CLASS - WF11 Surprise and Delight Yourself (Counterchange Smocking) MALVERN
WF11 - SURPRISE AND DELIGHT YOURSELF (Counterchange Smocking) See your work come alive and form shapes and patterns from striped spotted or regular patterned fabrics. This smocking technique does not require the task of pleating and yet produces most interesting results when it changes colours on stripes, spots or patterns when pleating or gathering with a thread.
