CLASS - KMcG28 Fundamentals of Thread Painting
KMcG28 - FUNDAMENTALS OF THREAD PAINTING
If you have ever been curious about using your sewing machine as a drawing tool and want to learn how to make beautiful works of art with thread, this is your chance!
In this two-day workshop we will get down into the nitty-gritty of supplies and techniques required to thread-paint, and walk you through basic exercises to warm up your special thread-painting muscles. Then you will begin working on your own colourful butterfly, flower or shell piece to practise your thread shading and directional stitching skills.
After this class you will be fully equipped to tackle an array of different thread-painting subjects and immerse yourself in this unique textile art form.
