'Floral Twirl' - A Beginners Blackwork class with a touch of Gold
Step into the elegant and intricate world of Blackwork with a Beginner project that introduces you to this timeless counted thread technique.
You will learn double running stitch, back stitch and running back stitch, using black stranded cotton, before moving on to a touch of Goldwork, creating decorative coils in metal thread. Add bead and sequins and our design would not have been out of place in the opulance of the Elizabethan Period, where the combination of black silk and gold thread was frequently used.
