JM27 Crewel Embroidery for Beginners
Crewel Embroidery for Beginners
Traditional crewel embroidery is worked with 2ply wool on linen twill fabric. The stitches used are a rich combination of the stitches of embroidery – from the very basic stitches to the not-so basic stitches. The colours of the wool and the textures of the stitches gives this technique its timeless appeal. The finished article at the end of your class is a delightful needlebook - something to use and treasure on your stitching journey.
This beginner’s class with Jene will start you on your journey to mastering this technique.
The completion of this class will be a pre-requisite to an Intermediate Crewel Embroidery class scheduled for August 2021.
