CB21 Embroidery Finishing Techniques - Blocking, Lacing and Mounting
Embroidery Finishing Techniques - Blocking, Lacing and Mounting
Now that the embroidery is complete its time to finish it in style!
The aim of this class is to step through the process of taking a completed piece of embroidery out of the hoop or off the frame and preparing it for its final presentation, looking its very best.
As much as possible this class will be a practical, hands-on walkthrough and will cover:
- Planning for your choice of finishing
- Preparing your embroidery for finishing
- Getting the foundation in place
- Working with the embroidery
There will be a focus on Diamond Jubilee projects – The Sampler, Spot Sampler or the Smalls project “Needlebook: Hardcover with Laced Spine” from the Treasures Pack that use these finishing techniques. This is not a pre-requisite for participation though.
