EGV Objectives
Objectives for The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria
Promote and encourage the co-operation and interchange of ideas amongst those engaged or interested in embroidery in the State of Victoria to:
- Maintain a high standard of embroidery and design techniques.
- Establish and maintain an inspiring centre and a place used as a bureau of information and sharing regarding embroidery and its diverse craft techniques.
- Inspire, promote and encourage the learning and training of members and tutors to further share and develop embroidery knowledge and skills of excellence by:
- Ensuring all paid tutors are skilled to deliver adult learning sessions for all class levels across a range of mediums.
- Providing opportunities for tutor learning and delivery upskilling.
- Establishing and conducting classes, schools, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, courses, seminars and other forms of educational activities.
- Conferring fellowships, certificates and other awards.
- Awarding scholarships, bursaries and other financial assistance.
- Manage and maintain constitutional and financial responsibilities as per not-for-profit associations in accordance with ACNC and ASIC legal requirements.
