The Golden Age of Folk Russian Costume
Galina is a multicultural art historian with 45 years of professional work in Russian and Central Asian folk arts and folklore.
Galina began as a historian at the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan, specialising in the history of Central Asian Art. She soon became a well-known and passionate art specialist of the arts of the Central Asian regions.
After relocating to Russia over two decades ago, Galina focussed on Russian folk arts. She is a leader at the Gallery of Folk Arts, Tver.
Galina has written countless articles for magazines and newspapers, given many talks for radio and television, and written numerous expositions and catalogues for national and regional exhibitions. An enthusiastic advocate of Russian folk arts, she is always happy to discuss this topic, and frequently gives seminars and talks at international conferences.
