JD-44 Playing with Stitch:
Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 September, 2019
This workshop is designed to extend your creative brain.
Many traditional stitches can be worked in a huge variety of ways to create different effects. During this workshop you will play with a variety of stitches to create a sampler. There is no finished project with this workshop just an opportunity to play with stitches with no pressure and for no purpose but to have fun, many of the best designs come to us when we are just having fun. On the 2nd day you can continue with your sampler or start a piece of work.
JD-45 Silk Shading:
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, 2019
Silk Shading (Long and short stitch)
During this workshop you will learn how to shade using long and short stitch.
You will use 1 strand of stranded cotton and learn to blend the shades together. You will learn to create a smooth finish to your stitching as well as using stitch direction to help create a realistic image. With a 2-day class you are able to bring your own design, or I will have a couple of designs you can use if you wish.
