April Classes

There are some great classes coming up in April for all levels of stitchers.

Why don’t you apply now?

DF-24 An English Garden Band Sampler – Band 5

Skill level: Advanced – Group 2
Member: $98.00
Non-member: $134.00

An arcaded band featuring white roses, gillyflowers or carnations, cornflowers, bluebells and acorns. Different elements of this band pattern have been adapted from a number of 17th century English samplers. The arcaded band is adapted from a band of the same design, which was originally embroidered in satin stitch on a hybrid spot and band sampler stitched in 1668, from the Feller Collection. The rose is adapted from similar roses on 17th century band samplers and the carnation was based on a carnation from a Victoria and Albert Museum band sampler, 829-1902, from the second half of the 17th century.

Students will then embroider their name in square eyelets.

Dates: Thursday 4 and Friday 5 April
Times: 10.00am – 3.30pm
