Maintaining a high standard of design and technique in embroidery.

Promoting cooperation and interchange of ideas amongst those engaged in or interested in embroidery in Victoria and other parts of the world.

The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation open to all lovers of embroidery and textiles, whether beginner or expert. The Guild commenced in 1960 and has approximately 2000 members throughout Victoria, Australia, including 11 Country Branches.

Our home in Malvern (a suburb of Melbourne) provides a friendly centre for members to attend classes, enjoy talks, meetings, exhibitions and displays.

Special interest groups exist for a range of techniques such as counted thread work, canvas work, crewel work, lace making, machine embroidery, patchwork, beading and tassel making, ceremonial embroidery and more.
