We are starting The Stitching Club at Embroidery House.
A friendly fun day of stitching
on the second Thursday of the month
starting on March 12 from 10.00am-2.00pm.
Each month, with an experienced leader, we will play with a new embroidery technique such as cross stitch, blackwork, canvaswork, whitework, surface stitchery, making a small embroidery to use on a greeting card to take home. You will be given the card, stitching design and the fabric. Just bring your stranded embroidery threads, scissors, needles etc, a 5” hoop (or similar) if you have one, and your lunch.
Our first technique will be surface stitchery.
Inclusive cost will be $5 per month.
Just come whenever you can.

'THE ROARING FORTIES'
February 27 - March 1, 2015
Embroidery at Fed Square
The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria
has a regular presence throughout 2015
in the Atrium of Fed Square:
A mini Sit & Stitch
from noon until 2:00pm on
the first Monday of each month.
A couple of members will be happily engaging
with the passing throng.
If you’re passing, do say hello.
Poppies, poppies, poppies!
All members are invited to make red poppies
for our ANZAC Centenary exhibition in April 2015,
knitted, stitched, crocheted, felted, or any other textile style.
(No stalks needed - just the poppy flowers).
They will be attached to ribbons and wrapped around
the verandah posts of Embroidery House
and will later form part of the 5000 Poppies project.
