Geelong Branch Celebrates 50 Golden Years
This milestone was attended by 94 ladies, who gathered at Truffleduck, Geelong to celebrate 50 years since the Geelong Branch of the Embroiderers Guild was established in June 1968. The luncheon was hosted by current Geelong Branch President Lyn Hughes.
Present were current Geelong members, past members, branch members from Bendigo, Ballarat, Warrnambool, Mornington, Flinders and Melbourne, along with Connie Fung and Jenni Smith, the two Vice Presidents of the EGV Board.
Also present were Isla Adamson a Geelong foundation member and Pamela Perry a current 49 year member. Another foundation member, Penny Garnett was unable to attend but was represented by her friend Prue Cole.
Geelong Branch will round out their Golden 50 year celebration with a magical exhibition Shazam in September, 2018.
