The EGV provides three scholarships.
Each one targets a particular group of stitchers.
The Ethel Oates Scholarship assists an EGV member (usually under 30)
to further develop her skills, and is awarded every two years.
After completion, the recipient passes on the knowledge gained,
e.g., by giving talks, teaching, writing articles.
